Porada wins the Archiproducts Design Award once again – this time with the Osmose table, from the French designer Patrick Jouin. The prize confirms Porada’s and Jouin's commitment to innovation and expressive material combinations – Osmone sees marble and solid wood come together in a modern design that suprises with the use of the materials – it’s Porada’s first table with legs crafted in marble, whilst the top is designed in wood – the opposite of the traditional combination.
“We wanted to celebrate the materials, with nature itself being our designer,” says Jouin, who has been a long-time Porada collaborator, over the years creating such iconic pieces like the Ella chair, the Louis armchair, the Leaf coffee table or the Mary bar cabinet just to name a few.
Osmose’s main characteristic is the modern combination of marble and wood, with the tabletop revealing the silhouette of the marble legs. The table is part of the Twenty-Three collection and it was first presented at Salone del Mobile 2023 with a rectangular top. Thanks to the success the product has received, Osmose is now also available with a round top, 140, 160, or 180cm in diameter, depending on the customer’s specific need.
