Conceived by designers Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, Abby with or without armrests is a dining armchair featuring careful tailoring and soft, welcoming shapes. The frame is in solid ash or Canaletta walnut wood and can be declined in the various finishes of the collection. It accommodates four slender legs that provide support and make the entire seat ergonomic, also accentuated by the presence of armrests. Abby elegant dining chair is extremely versatile thanks to the availability of different covers in the fabrics of the collection for the seat and the back. Abby’s unique style offers the possibility to place this piece in several domestic settings, both contemporary and classic.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality.
“We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
