Harmoniously elegant, Beam is a modern dining table designed by brothers Buratti for Porada. Beam is the natural extension of Alan, which boldly take the centre of the scene thank to its Canaletta walnut crossbar that connects the iconic half-moon-shaped legs. This design is the result of a sophisticated wood processing technique, which has made possible the realization of curves of considerable complexity.
The metal plates in brushed brass or black chrome finish provide elegance to the entire table and they perfectly support a great versatility of tops, both in term of size and materials.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality.
“We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
