Behind the apparent formal simplicity, the roundness of volumes and the lightweight of thickness, takes shape a more well-structured project: Daphne modern easy chairs. The rounded seat cushion is completed by a curved upholstered backrest, crossed by two vertical quilts that underline the high couture quality level.
These components are customisable thanks to the choice of the upholstery: completely in leather or customer own material for a unique style. The harmony of this unique piece is completed by its base. It is supported by four slender tapered legs, and it is characterised by rounded shapes that perfectly coexist with the seat and backrest.
The metal end-feet in a brushed anthracite finish, complete the geometric design that characterises the Daphne armchairs and matches perfectly with the Bignè collection of modern coffee tables.
Emanuela Garbin and Mario dell’Orto founded Opera Work in Progress in 1990 to combine the different experiences they had gained in the same professional background, in particular industrial design, planning and product design; they have created numerous products for Porada including the successful Giolino and Giolo mirrors, the Daphne armchair and the Chantal console.
