What makes these design dining chairs in solid wood unique and iconic, are the soft shapes typical of the Esters’ back. With a beautiful organic frame, Ester shows the beauty of the wood created from refined technological and manual production processes. The curve shaped back of this chair, available with or without arms, expresses the lightness of its minimal design, enriched by the warmth of the solid Walnut or Ashwood, available in a natural wood finish or in many different stained or lacquered ones.
The seat cushions are available in all the fabrics of the collection, in leather or in customer own material. It can be used around a light modern dining table, like the Infinity, Circe or Alan, for creating beautiful dining room sets. Being a small chair with light shapes, this unit is suitable for any dining area.
Born in 1974, Stefano Bigi was raised between France and Italy, two countries where culture and art are timelessly dominant and live eternally. His love for both cultures, inspired him to pursue a study of beauty in all its forms. After studying art in France, followed by a career in web design field, at the age of 31 he couldn’t ignore his real passion anymore: the furniture and objects design. In 2005 he took a leap of faith, moved to Milan and founded the Stefano Bigi Design Studio. The value that distinguishes his design is the ambitious and continuous search for a unique atmosphere, in which furniture is not a constraint but a desire. Over the years his practice grew from strength to strength and for Porada he designed his most famous dining table, the Infinity table.
“In my opinion, Design is an endless and exasperated search for the right balance between aesthetics and comfort, between form and function.”
