A leap into the 50’s Scandinavian furniture design brings us into a sophisticated and current design, with the Evelin dining chairs, designed by Carlo Ballabio. The solid wooden frame is in our sustainable ash wood, grown in Porada’s own forests, then processed and shaped in our factory in Italy, with the help of the most advanced technology and the best artisans’ skills. The solid wood frame can be natural or stained in many different finishes.
The back and seat cushions are available in any fabric or leather of our collection, or in customer own material, for a customized version. Evelin is available without arms, but also in an arms version with a drawstring in leather. This product is perfect for many different spaces of the house, in a dining room around the table, or as a kitchen or desk chair.
Since 2011 he has been in charge of product development director and designer at Porada. He was born in Cantù (Como) in 1967, in his twenties he studied at IPSIA G. Meroni of Lissone, near Milan, as a technician for the furniture and design industry.
In 1990 he obtained a master’s degree in Industrial Design at Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan. After graduation, Ballabio worked for the Paolo Nava design practice and then for Paola Navone as senior designer. During his career he designed many products, some of which can be found exhibited at the Triennale in Milano. For Porada he designed many of the most popular products, including the highly successful Ziggy collection. What makes its design unique is the steadily search for the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.
