Rimmel is a simple, linear modern floor mirror that is meant to be placed against the wall to complete, with his measured elegance, any location. This minimal mirror is designed by Emmanuel Gallina and created thanks to the skills of Porada’s best artisans combined with refined technological production processes.
The natural ash wood – obtained from sustainable forests owned by Porada and available in all the finishes of the collection – is the protagonist of the long and narrow rectangular frame. This embraces the natural mirror surface, making up also the two supporting feet of this modern piece of furniture. The wooden frame conveys a touch of sophistication and elegance.
He graduated from E.N.A.D in Limoges and I.A.V in Orléans, and further deepened his knowledge at Politecnico di Milano University, obtaining a diploma of Master in design & management. He currently works for his own studio, essentially working between Italy and France, opening new collaborations with highly contemporary international brands such as Porada. Elegance, clarity and simplicity are key elements in Emmanuel Gallina’s work. His creative ethos for authenticity and consistency is embodied in all his designs. In his opinion, attention to detail is a constant priority. Emmanuel Gallina is often invited to give lectures and organise workshops in France, Italy, China and Brazil. The key values that characterise his work are elegance, sobriety and simplicity.
To describe his work as a designer, Gallina likes to quote Constantin Brancusi: “Simplicity is complexity resolved”.
