Emmanuel Gallina created a contemporary design chair where the wooden frame wraps the seat structure, creating a visible and detailed piece. Simplicity and lightness make Serena dining chair. The frame is in solid ash wood, from Porada’s sustainable forests, processed and shaped in our factory by our craftsmen, using the best technological and artisanal production processes.
To meet different styles, the frame is available in many different light and dark stained finishes; the seat cushions are available in all the fabrics or leathers of the collection, or in customer own material, for a more personalized style. It can be used together with any contemporary dining table, like the Quadrifoglio, to create beautiful dining room sets.
He graduated from E.N.A.D in Limoges and I.A.V in Orléans, and further deepened his knowledge at Politecnico di Milano University, obtaining a diploma of Master in design & management. He currently works for his own studio, essentially working between Italy and France, opening new collaborations with highly contemporary international brands such as Porada. Elegance, clarity and simplicity are key elements in Emmanuel Gallina’s work. His creative ethos for authenticity and consistency is embodied in all his designs. In his opinion, attention to detail is a constant priority. Emmanuel Gallina is often invited to give lectures and organise workshops in France, Italy, China and Brazil. The key values that characterise his work are elegance, sobriety and simplicity.
To describe his work as a designer, Gallina likes to quote Constantin Brancusi: “Simplicity is complexity resolved”.
