Among Porada’s range of sofa offerings, the Vera Sofa emerges as a configurable piece with or without chaise longue, echoing the lines and forms of the Vera armchair already present in the collection. This sofa is designed to meet the demand for a timeless product characterised by a mix of different materials that give elegance and functionality to the piece. The supporting structure is made of solid canaletta walnut, onto which is placed a leather backrest available in all colours from the collection. Comfort is ensured by the removable upholstery of backrest and seat made with fabrics from the collection, along with side cushions with the same shape of the armrests. The interior is made of polyurethane foam with different densities with goose-down external quilt.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality.
“We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
