Here the names of the international jury that will meet on February 23rd, 2024 to decree the winners of the competition

Porada Arredi srl, leading company in the production of furniture and furnishing accessories and POLI.design, Consortium Society founded by Politecnico di Milano, with the patronage of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, present the jury of experts who will judge the applications received to decree the winners of PORADA INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2023, now in its 11th edition, which this year has the Mirror as its theme. Due to the high number of requests to postpone the end of the call, it will be possible to participate and deliver the projects until January 31st, 2024.

An international level jury, that on February 23rd2023 will meet at Villa del GrumelloLake Como, will evaluate the applications received by professionals and students worldwide. In evaluating the entries, the judges will take into account their originality, the degree of innovation and pursuit of new design solutions related to the processes typically used for solid wood, experimentation with materials and surface finishes, the capacity of projects to define and anticipate scenarios of use and innovative concepts in the use of wooden furniture and contemporary furnishings.  

The jury will then announce three winners for each competing category (Students and Professionals). After February 23rd, 2023, the results will be made public. The prize money of € 10.000 will be allocated as follows:  

PROFESSIONAL Category:
1st prize: € 3.000
2nd prize: € 2.000
3rd prize: € 1.000  

STUDENT Category:
1st prize: € 2.000
2nd prize: € 1.200
3rd prize: € 800  

Elisabetta Allievi, architect and part of the family that owns Porada, will instead award the 'Menzione speciale Giacomo Allievi' prize worth € 1,000.00 to 1 student or 1 professional whose project stands out for the best balance between traditional craftsmanship associated with woodworking and modern design expressed in the structural and creative development of the project.
